At the beginning of May, Gary Eves, Krystle Steduto and Dustin Leibach, together with a representative from Food & Trees for Africa, went to Lumanyano Public School in East London,to plant fruit and indigenous trees as part of the branch’s Madiba initiative for 2018.The day was filled with fun and excitement as the school children were informed of the importance of trees. The FTFA eco-preneur, Heather Wolmarans, gave an informative talk and demonstration to both teachers and students on the different types of trees and where they should be planted. Not only was thanks given to KMSA from Lumanyano Public School but also from surrounding schools who similarly attended the tree planting event. They were most grateful for the trees donated as well for the contribution the company is making in sustaining the environment. In between the speeches, the children entertained everyone with wonderful song and dance. |
