Newcastle Branch Gives New Life to Community

by Konica Minolta SA

Konica Minolta South Africa’s Newcastle branch recently donated 100 trees to its surrounding community in conjunction with corporate social investment (CSI) partner, Food & Trees for Africa (FTFA). The trees were given to Arbor Park Primary School, Lindakahle Primary School and Newcastle Hospital.

The branch attended the official tree planting event at one of the beneficiaries.”Once we arrived at Arbor Park Primary it was clear that a boundary had been crossed. We were no longer branded ‘preferred suppliers;’ we were considered ‘friends.’ The event was a great learning experience and it was appreciated by all,” said branch manager Vernon van der Merwe.
